The crankshaft pulley (pulley damper) is a device designed to damp or prevent mechanical vibrations in the system of internal combustion engines. The task of the pulley is to rotate the belt drive of the gas distribution mechanism and additional equipment, to provide a shock-absorbing effect under loads, to absorb vibrations.

This part serves as a means of transferring torque from the crankshaft to the attachment using transmission belts. In addition, it is designed to smooth out vibrations in the operation of the crankshaft (if additionally equipped with a damper - a rubber layer between the working disc and the inner cage).
