The functionality of the gasket

The main task of the gasket is to prevent the ingress of fuel combustion products into the valve space and the engine compartment. Untimely replacement or burnout due to overheating reduces the conditions for safe car operation. The presence of gases can lead to ignition of elements and assemblies of the engine compartment. It is recommended to buy a gasket for the intake manifold at the first symptoms of depressurization of the exhaust system.

Rapid wear of the gasket, fraught with damage, usually occurs due to prolonged increased loads on the engine or the choice of a low-quality gasket and can negatively affect not only the safety of driving, but also the technical capabilities of the car. Therefore, it is not worth delaying its replacement when diagnosing a malfunction.
